Apply for Housing

The Tarpon Springs Housing Authority (TSHA) will be accepting applications for the wait list for our scattered sites. Preferences will be given to current Tarpon Springs residents who can prove they have resided in Tarpon Springs for the last 12 months. Applicants that qualify as working families, persons 62 and older, or persons with disabilities. Applicants seeking a homeless preference, must provide a signed and dated (within the last 60 days) letter from a non-profit agency (on their letterhead) confirming they are homeless.

• Applications are being accepted for our 2 and 3 Bedroom waiting list ONLY
• TSHA will ONLY accept applications by MAIL. Our application can be obtained by going to our website. If you cannot obtain an application on our website, you must call us and request one to be sent to you at (727) 937-4411.
• Providing identity information, proof of income or proof of homelessness (preferences) with your application, may speed your application process.
• If you are elderly or disabled and require a reasonable accommodation, to obtain an application, you may call (727) 937-4411 and request an application be sent to you.

Please see details below. Rent for these apartments is based on approximately 30% of the family’s income. The current guidelines require that applicant’s income does not exceed the current income guidelines, which is total family gross income dependent on the number in the household of:

6-person-$68,500

Some Occupancy Standards
Families with 2-4 persons are invited to apply for the 2-bedroom,
however additional occupancy standard restrictions may apply. Families with 3-6 people are invited to apply for the 3 bedroom waiting lists.

• All applications received, will be notified via U.S Mail within ten (10) business days of the date of receipt.
• Applications that are incomplete, or found to be ineligible due to Income Limits, TSHA’s Occupancy Standards or otherwise, will be sent a notice within ten (10) business days of receipt of the application stating why the family was found ineligible.
